calypso buzz

not sure what i think about Calypso being the next big designer to collaborate with Target (available may 1st)...
being a HUGE Calypso fan, I love wearing items from them that not 'everyone' has...and most of the clothes i find are either reasonably priced or on sale...so seeing a 'calypso for target' tunic for $19...might kind of bugg..however i will be first in line..will you?

some of the gorgeous items i want from their line now.

Omg - thanks for the head's up! Also not a fan of wearing an item that MANY women own, yet..... I will be at Target the morning that these gorgeous tunics go on sale!!!!! The first photo of the blue, white & red will be taken with me to France on vacation this summer. I just need a tan and some cute red sandals!

I have to agree, this announcement is bittersweet...I am so in love with Calypso...and have been for years...the jury is still out!

calypso is one of my favorites and whenever i am in nyc i love to go immediately there to get my hit of fun color and blue jeans... although i am disappointed in them following the target craze... i still think their stores will be super cool. and we never know what might turn up at target????

wishing you much peace, happiness and love this new year... i would so love to go to india with you one day... xx pam

Totally understand the mixed emotions! But I have to say I like what I see. The way the Target stores in my area get ravaged every day I will never see any of these on the racks or anyone I know wearing them. I am forever seeing cute things on people from Target that I never see in our stores.

I agree. Mixed feelings about Calypso for Target. Excitement, but also... really?!? Sometimes these collaborations sound good in theory and turn out horribly. But, I will still be there on opening day to see it. Hoping for good things!!

I am Calypso obsessed myself, and I have to say, pretty much all of the lines for Target have disappointed me- I can't stand cheap fabric. I always hope for the best and (up until now) have always been sad when I went to the store.

My sister and I are die-hard Calypso fans (but we generally wait for items to go on sale like you - yikes, things are pricy) and we planning on getting to Target right when the doors open May 1st to scope out the collection. My biggest fear is that the quality of fabrics and construction wont transfer over well... we shall see!! I mean, even if they have some inexpensive cover-ups it might be worth it for summer time :)
