organization envy

this quote makes me feel good

are you one of those that watches shows like hoarders..and it makes you feel better that your not THAT disorganized?
i am one of those people that drool over 'before and afters', i was obsessed with clean sweep (peter walsh's first show at stardom) and when i stumble across organization perfection..i sigh to myself..and think.."ahh that is so nice to look at..."

and thats exactly what i did when i saw Melissa's desk situation... i was sitting at my desk, when i saw hers, looked at my situation...(enter anxiety)

here is hers...

gotta find one of these!

here is mine..

keepin it real .... i guess..

With all this rain, I've spent way too much time inside staring at the clutter and feeling overwhelmed. I want Melissa's desk, too! Now, how to make that happen.... (taps foot)

I've resorted to procrastinating the clutter through baking. It makes more of a mess, but at least the results are tasty things to eat.

oh, i'm sorry but it makes me feel better knowing i'm not the only one with a bazillion cords everywhere! love the photos of the "perfect" office space-that will never occur in this house:)

I LOVE THIS!!!! OH my gosh I can relate on every level to this! I want to send you a pic of my desk too, it's NUTS! I totally have organization envy, but the qoute you have is our mantra when it gets bad! Thanks for sharing!

hahahaha! Mine is at least as bad as yours if not worse. At least yours doesn't have heaps of papers to shred or recycle scattered around the space. Mine does. Not pretty. Or relaxing.

i really should be doing something else right now but i just received my first rikshaw kurta that i purchased at the rustic rooster trunk show. i immediately had to check out your site and blog. it is quite comical that this post is what i stumbled upon after reading an article in real simple about procrastination. love the kurta, love the post!

I can sooo relate! And, LOVE the quote! I look at clean desks and for a moment feel envy. Then, it hits me...not gonna happen. And then it hits me further, phew...it is really hard to create with such a perfect desk :). Thanks for the post!

Thank you!
I prefer the 'keeping it real'.

I just met Melissa yesterday and she asked if I knew about your blog...of course i did. My office space is somewhere in between yours and hers...given that I don't actually have a desk, more of an armoir that holds all the crap and a kitchen table for my laptop. So I guess I'm keeping it real too! Love your blog....I'm sure I've said that before on many comments!

your office looks WAY too familiar. My husband and I share a desk and it's totally out of control. sigh

Catherine! I've been so behind on my blog reading that I missed this! Thanks for the shout out! And just so no one think I'm a complete freak, my desk rarely looks that clean. Chords - organized. Desk top - not so much. : )
