I actually got to meet her at one of her concerts. She performed at our college- and I worked the backstage area--the SWEETEST woman ever; and the giggles....so cute and fun! I'll look for a picture.
Being from Tennessee, of course I think Dolly is deluxe. I love a successful gal with a Southern accent who doesn't let money and fame change her a bit. And, one who defies gravity with her style ... well, that's even better!
Recently saw a very sweet (& entertaining) movie called "The Year Dolly Parton Was My Mother" about a young girl who fantasizes that Dolly is her real mom.
Dolly Parton is one of my favorite people ever. Plus, she sends a book to my son every single month via her Imagination Library foundation. Love that Dolly.
