decadent
after a fabulous meeting yesterday in berkeley (more on that later)....a little tuckered, i slipped into the fabulous homemade ice cream store called ici..i had heard about this place before..but never actually tried it. the amazing mary canales, from chez panisse opened up a true delicious gem, with all organic homemade ice cream store.. my flavor yesterday was sweet corn and cinnamon..and the best bite was at the end when i found that the bottom of the cone was filled with yummy chocolateit was heavenly..

a color palette i am doing in spring...i heart..
last year i bought these calendar's for my mom and sis and this year they are even better with the handy postcards you can detach and write a sweet note to someone!linda and harriet letterpressing is the best and the colors are soooo drool worthy...
i am gonna ask for some custom stationary for the holidays! stock up before they sell out!

well my monday turned around with some good office energy and some good pilates..and this trailer always puts things into perspective....next time i am in a funk..i need to make some lemonade..

i have the blah's today..its so weird because i was just telling my girlfriend (yesterday) how much i actually love mondays-everybody is back to work, blogs are updated, i can be a busy bee again..but today i am strugglin..i feel like this girl on a rock..thinking and more thinking..ok time to get moving but not sure where to go..any ideas for how to shake the blah's away?

my biggest fan, flora
the incredible photographer, ericka mcconnell, whom i am always featuring here, has a beautiful lil girl named flora, who is rikshaw's biggest fan..here she is captured playing with some new product in her bedroom, such a lil boho princess...(btw blogger tends to wash out all the pretty colors..)

i am sure some of you saw this at the cup of jo "secrets to a happy marriage" series..this one stuck out to me..so sweet, michael antonia's traditions with his wife..i heart him..
We started a tradition years ago of sneaking handwritten notes in clever places the night before a trip--like pockets, inside socks, in the baggie with the shampoo; she would stick them in my record case, wallet, sunglasses case; I would put them in her makeup bag, into an inside pocket of her handbag, etc, and the notes would be one-liners, written on torn sheets of paper, like 'I wish I could kiss you', or 'Your pillow smells amazing', or 'Remember when we were in Costa Rica?' The idea is that if there are enough, and they're well hidden, you'll discover new ones (in your pockets, in the luggage) daily throughout your whole trip. It makes being apart a bit more bearable!
