Sseko Designs, are adorable sandals with a ton of fun straps of your choice for around $49 each....but the best part is that these sandals are made by women of Uganda to help raise money for their tuition to go to university. i am a sucker for a pretty stack of textiles..i just recently purchased some of these khadi towels from India. mine has the softest terry on one side, but i have it hanging and have advised "not for use" its just there to hang pretty for me to smile at..do you have things that are meant to just look at and not use? or am i just weird?

i have tried and tried them all...my lips peal..but this japanese therapy keeps them moisturized (not greasy) and it doesn't dry them out, plus they have been around for 50 years and their lotions have seen mt.everest to other extreme destinations..you can try this trial set for free..just pay s+h.. they have a secret to their sauce....i am in.

last year i bought these calendar's for my mom and sis and this year they are even better with the handy postcards you can detach and write a sweet note to someone!linda and harriet letterpressing is the best and the colors are soooo drool worthy...
i am gonna ask for some custom stationary for the holidays! stock up before they sell out!

i just bought a bunch of these at a fair recently..dabney lee's chunky notepad with all the pages printed in fun designs and you can personalize it with the friends initial ect..she also has recipe cards, lucite trays, playing cards..
don't forget who rules most houses, lilly pulitzer printed dog collars from my mascot, calling all prepster dogs!!

summer has landed..the smell of the excursion series archipelago candles are amazing..i am in love with charleston beacause it smells like hyacinth, jasmine, and tuberose..i could eat it!
matta sarongs..everyone should have a few, they are great to throw on your body, on a picnic table or as a towel at the beach..love the beaded edges!
can i just say i have been working on this post for awhile and i own the elephant bottle opener from this picture-of course..and just yesterday one of my fav blogs (cup of jo) posted about this! she beat me to it..but these are a for sure, can't mess up-- perfect gift!

since i am diving right into summertime..i am going to start sending some "best-of" summer stuff..no need to search any further i have done it for you!

fair trade
an old friend got in touch with me today because she randomly stumbled upon my website..so glad she did! she has started a beautiful line of bags called rising tide fair trade, all made in india. they are all recycled with cruelty free fabric while ensuring fair wages..usually you see this technique of embroidery on quilts called kantha, but i love how she has incorporated it into fun weekender bags and coin purses! plus they have that one of a kind hand made appeal which i am a sucker for!
