whimsy for the walls

a friend of mine needed an idea for some nursery art... i have had a field day going through pages and pages of beautiful hand-made art in the wonderful world of Etsy..here are some suggestions for adding a touch of whimsy, without spelling the childs name across the wall..

the talented mixed media of Michelle Caplan..I own the girl on the horse and get 'giddy' everytime i see it..this ferris wheel would be so sweet in either boy or girls room!

poster messages..we all have and know about Keep Calm and Carry on..these other prints from the same place are sweet little words of wisdom..

I am mesmerized by the sheer patience and craft of Jayme McGowan..every little bit is cut and put together by hand to create a 3-d delight..here is her blog where she shows you her process & her etsy shop

Jennifer Ramos a.k.a Made by Girl, makes cards and prints your will love..specifically her infamous L-O-V-E print available in a variety of colors and the Alphabet one where you can customize your childs name in a different color..(see Jennifer in green)..her prints are modern & so sweet

a fiddlin fox or a banjo playin owl..YEE-HAW..these folks 'guarantee to grow hair on a goats ass, tennessee style'..being southern how could i resist..lots of other funny prints, more suitable for your room!

letterpress animal alphabet..by ink + wit ..darling

a touch of sweet vintage hearts..from sarah and bendrix
Yo Yo!..we live in brooklyn baby..love these fun prints from Claudia Pearson..she has a brooklyn bugs one too..

Oh my goodness, so cute! I am in particular awe of the paper cuts---those must take hours upon hours to create! So fun.
