choice 1: do you prefer the rich dark ebonized floors....?
choice 2: or do you prefer the ivory/white floors?
I say prefer because many of you covet one of the options but have never actually pulled the trigger and re-finished your floors..(it's a big fat pain after you have already moved in somewhere) i must say because i have a yellow lab that rules our roost..i would have to choose white floors or else it would look like it snowed hairballs on the gorgeous ebonized floors...i do think either make such a bold statement and can be used in so many different areas of the house..
Hmmmm I'm struggeling with this one because I LOVE dark floors, but lately I've wanted to do an all white room including white planked floors... Can I go with BOTH? Please!!!! LOL If I had to choose I would go with Choice 2.
I adore the look of all white floors but have never "pulled the trigger." I feel I would tire of it quickly becasue all white would make me feel like I'm floating and I always try to stay grounded ;)
Ivory...I have the need (perhaps a disorder) to paint everything white! I also have a big silly yellow lab-Krimpet and fur tumbleweeds would stand out against dark floors! xo Kit
let's play pretend. ivory floors in my imaginary beach bungalow, ebony in my weekend estate in the country (also imaginary)that I venture to in the colder months. Sigh. x
For sure the white floors. Sixx Design uses white floors in a lot of their designs too, and I think all around it looks great. a bucket of white paint never disappoints.
We have a yellow lab too, and black stone floors - not a good combination at all! I have white floors in my art studio, and they're fabulous - they do show the dirt more, but the light they bounce into the room is well worth a little more cleaning. Love your blog by the way, and I'm now following so I don't miss another post! K xx

I am an ebony. We moved into a 1763 farmhouse last year and refinished all of the floors...dark. I love it with my white furniture...!!!
Although I love both, I think I'd go with the ebony. It stunning, and makes a really strong statement!
we have dark floors, but it's a nice contrast because everything in my house is white...walls, kitchen, counters, furniture, everything!

Darn it. That is a hard one. But if I had to choose just one, I would go with ebony. Timeless, classic, and dramatic!
C: all of the above! These are such beauties!

ivory {period} love!
Ebony for sure, but I appreciate ivory.

I would go with the light/white---same reason as you. I have a golden retriever that lives inside!
