blessed bliss
it was a gorgeous day yesterday..so jumby and i wanted to take a drive to our fav spot up by point reyes..i had missed the pacific..although i forgot about the wind..
jumbs ran along and dug her deep holes..that coast line takes my breath away..its so different then where i just was on vacation..and we basically had the beach to ourselves!
i am feeling pretty blessed this sunday
enjoy a diddy from brett dennen..(i can't believe i have never posted one of his tunes up!)..this is him gettin down at outside lands, last year..he is so fun, i spent new years with him last year..GO see him if you haven't already!

happy sunday folks..
don't have much to say....i feel like my creative 'tank' is tapped out..do you ever get like that?
here is some randomness happening in my head as i type:
i am enjoying my pandora station 'jack johnson' excellent mix of mellow chill tuneage..currently listening to "somewhere over the rainbow"
last week of july up next..this summer is quickly coming and going..many of you are sweating bullets in the east..but as i type this i am in jeans and a flannel..sunny but chilly..hasn't felt much like a summer in california..
someone told me i talked like june carter (reese witherspoon) in Walk the Line....will have to watch that flick again

today = summer for me....went to stinson beach, which had no wind, not cold, and luckily no great white sharks(there have been incidents-no joke) it was a jammed packed, apparently everyone had the same idea..i jumped in the freezing ocean, I HAD too..jumby was in dog heaven..i might top off the day with a slice of watermelon!

well..how do i begin..i guess i will start with the BIGGEST thank you to all the lovely ladies..who welcomed me with open arms to their beautiful beach town...
here is the play by play of my wonderful time..

this was the location of the trunk show..WHA???????COASTAL LIVING..are you hearing me??get there STAT! this is the most beautiful spot..its right on the beach..
i mean RIGHT ON the beach!!
Melissa, of Seagrass interiors, has renovated this gem of a home, i think she said it was Charlie Chaplins home, with impeccable taste! What a back-drop to display all the rikshaw goodies..couldn't have dreamed up a more beautiful spot!

here is the crew of lovely, talented, creative ladies..and mostly bloggers who came!
alexis of fern and feather, alexandra of rustic rooster, haydee of happenstance, heather of la feem, kendall of kendall k design, bianca of bink and boo, melissa of seagrass interiors, grace of grace happens, ashley, and andrea....go check out their blogs, most of them did recaps of the night..
it was sooo fun exchanging stories, saying things like "i am the one that made that comment on your post about...." this is why this event was so nice, i found blogger obsessed gals, like me..i did have a few eyebrows raise, at home, when i mentioned that i was going to meet some "blogger friends" that i had never met before and have a trunk show and explore a beach town..seemed perfectly normal to me...so so happy i did...i found my peeps!
cardiff by the sea, encinitas, del mar..these beaches are the prettiest i have ever seen in this big state of CA...the l'auberge del mar was so lovely..and has a great people watching scene at night..alexis, ohh i mean Dorothy draper..i will have a gimlet with you anytime!

well, its been so springy and sunny in the pretty Bay area! i love this shot of a san francisco sunny house by sfgirlbythe bay..can't wait to purchase some of her photographs for my office..
i did get to the garden bonanza store and everything is ready to tackle tomorrow, so the planting to-do will get dealt with..and i am gonna try and cook + yoga today..but i may just get to riding bessie..

whew what a week its been..thank you all who have now decided to follow the blog, those who have been following the blog, its been so nice having your support!
random sunday thoughts:
* big thanks to the blog-goddesses out there who did a big post on the line launching specifically the city sage, the neo-trad, and wide open spaces...i am sooo complimented that you love the line enough to share with your readers!
*spring forward..i like it..yeah i know everyone loses an hour of sleep, but now everything feels like its supposed to be. jumby eats at normal hours, wakes up at normal hours, and it just means long days of sunshine are around the corner, i am hoping for a burst of motivation to exercise everyday..
*ready for sandals & flops..aren't you?..my feet love them
*liberty for target, i think i may be the only one a bit wary of this launch..after i saw the debacle that happened with john Derians stuff..i am not all that excited, plus i have loved the real deal with liberty, and so does jumby..(she's about to bark at me in this pic)
*have you ever been professionally fitted for a bra? i did this weekend at the breast cancer event at Nordstroms..umm..the lady had the nerve to tell me i am a cup size biGGer than i have been wearing? i almost passed out after punching her! if you got curves...its not fun to hear they are bigger than you thought..

this sunday afternoon lots of raindrops..its ok, i sometimes like the cozy quiet sunday..the above picture are some of the amazing finds i have found for the rikshaw design photo shoot coming up..i really can't help myself when i see vintage library books with the library card inside still from 1972! and a vintage elephant and the hippo is too die for..its gonna be a good one i am getting really excited!

i have already woken up, made my bed, then went back to sleep again..time to put my hair on top of my head and enjoy a bath and some boob tube..

my dramatic jumby kills me when she hops on the couch and snuggles in all the pillows(block-printed of course) and moans and groans during her puppy dreams..we are gonna chill on the couch and watch the cool commercials and the half time show and i am gonna make valentines..happy sunday my darlins!

hello lovelies..
has anyone noticed my little trend i do called "sunday sentiments", its my regular re-occurring post about my sunday thoughts..earlier i said..i wasn't gonna do any lists for my new year....i am sort of borrowing from lists i have read..
my friend sarah, has my fav list out there. She is such a creative gal and her precious pup penelope is such a love, i could die!..here is her list on her fab blog..
some of my favorite things she mentioned were:
-make a big soup on sundays for the week of lunches, to save on trips to the grocery and $: i am so gonna do this!!!i love soup for lunch and i hate dropping $10 on lunch..great call
-we are both in sync with the hand-written notes..and i loved how she said she wants to keep her local post office in business, sweet. i wish my postal workers were a little nicer.
-dress up! i had this on my last years list and will continue..and being such a girl...i have loved doing this. its easy when you work for yourself to stay in your robe most of the morning then throw on yoga pants..i have loved wearing dresses and tights this winter..and some necklaces always make you feel special.
-blog 5x a day, which i am excited about b/c i love her blog..but i am good at blogging just about everyday..SO i am gonna say with LOTS of hesitation to be ACTIVE physically 5x a week! that means classes, cardio, get a sweat in..arrgghh i kind of hated writing that..but i gotta do it!
-read...i have already started this, during my travels, and with no good bravo shows on the tube..what else is there to do ;). my family are all a bunch of readers and i have been the black sheep in this regard, but i am loving getting all snuggled into a good book, with jumby snoring at my feet. right now i am reading Cleaving, the follow up to julie and julia..pretty good. i have 3 cups of tea up next..would love more suggestions!
-her last one is called "its personal" and i am gonna steal that one too..i have a few things on the personal front that i don't want to share, just yet.. but have every intention of taking care of in 2010!

i went to the renegade fair in sf yesterday..it was like the blog world came to life..i loved meeting all these amazing artists and seeing all their beautiful work! ..great day..you should go today if you can
