jumby day

having a nap with 'ellie' she has 3 baskets full of plush babies..
here i dressed her up in a rikshaw blanket and called her a donky...she didn't like it at all
always propped up on her pillows..
every night we have a lay down snuggle on the couch..she is snoring in my ear, bad breath blowing and its pretty much bliss..

remember the movie, Holiday? where cameron and kate swapped houses..well i want to do that with someone in New york for a little while..and if i can't find a swap-mate..i need to go for business for around 5 days, and don't want to stay in a hotel the whole time...any thoughts??(btw..how great was that flic?...can't wait for the holidays again!)

ma cherie
i wanted to introduce you to my friend, philippine scali...she is an incredibly talented art director, is wonderful to work with, has a beautiful sense of style and ohh wait..to top it all off she is french too. I have had the pleasure to work with her on my most recent Rikshaw photo shoots and lets just say..'i usually know what i want..and philippine just gets me'..here we are from the last shoot and here is her portfolio.Philippine travels all over and recently she has been travelling to morocco and bringing back poufs, rugs and jewelry which i have been buying from her, one of these days she will have an event and i will have to get all of you to come to load up!
here are some shots of her home sitting on top of protrero hill with 360 degree views of the city. its jaw dropping, and every corner is styled but totally relaxed and comfortable..

its fall and it feels like layers, warm drinks, and a good book..the seasons really affect me, i am not ordinarily a big reader but when it gets cold outside it makes me want to cuddle in blanket and be quiet..i am reading girls guide to hunting and fishing (never read it), and its making me laugh..would love some other recommendations?
i also want to cook more, love a fall harvest meal full of root veggies or a big pot of homemade soup..

i think i am going to invest in some of these noise canceller headphones..i was more than annoyed listening to a mother and daughter discuss painful topics my last trip..cannot deal anymore..here is a review of many on the market here
ohh one more tip..for all you "can't sleep without a sound machine" that would be me..there is an App for that! its called ambiance..so you can listen to white noice, or streams or waves crashing as your phone charges through the night..sleep tight!

i do have a predicament...do i go see emmylou or avett brothers...they are playing at the same time and emmylou always closes the festival and is so amazing..i think i will skip back and forth?
