scent project

tory burch (smells like her stores)
i wonder if the Dash scent by the kardashians smells like money?
i want Rikshaw to have a scent! is that weird? I am just endlessly not ever sold on any candles i buy..it could be an $85 candle that burns black or a $19 candle that smells like a cheap bottle of coppertone..
this may have to be my next little project..i think it would be such fun to sniff out the prettiest scent that burns well with no headache..

i have decided on a new little series...its called "wednesday random", i usually write my random thoughts anyway....but i like a series, it makes me feel like i am organized. and i think i may ask some of you bloggers out there to participate..

inspiring
i am sure many of you have heard about the very inspiring Kris Carr..aka crazy,sexy,cancer girl.. above is a trailer for her documentary i have yet to see..but its in my Netflix queue. Her website has a newsletter i get and i love her recipes for juices, healthy tid bits, and her general verve of living healthy!! I think we all know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease and she has turned her life around by making her kitchen her pharmacy....i am inspired.

things on my mind
i have been a bad blogger these days..but i am swamped..really i am! i cannot catch up to save my life. yesterday i was thinking about the piles on my desk, floor and all surrounding surfaces and it stressed me out so much i decided to go for a walk because i don't know where to begin. does this ever happen to you....? my sweet Nana would have said "honey, thank your lucky stars you are as busy as you are!"
i am thankful but a couple more hours in the day would be nice..

remember the movie, Holiday? where cameron and kate swapped houses..well i want to do that with someone in New york for a little while..and if i can't find a swap-mate..i need to go for business for around 5 days, and don't want to stay in a hotel the whole time...any thoughts??(btw..how great was that flic?...can't wait for the holidays again!)

calling all potential franchise owners! this franchise will ACTUALLY make you money..
its called the dry bar, its been blogged about a bunch and has an impressive list of devotees in Los angeles area..now we need one in SF stat...or what about in the south where the humidity crushes your hair?
the concept is simple..just walk in and for $35 you can order a list of cocktail inspired blow outs, in a beautiful setting..i love having my hair blown dry because i NEVER do it myself..(i am a wash n'go kind of gal)..but i would certainly do this all the time because it feels so good..and makes you feel pretty and pulled together..!

kombucha bliss
a friend urgently called to tell me that kombucha is back on the shelves...well at least SOME shelves (whole foods still doesn't have it)..i had to drive 30 miles to grab a case of my mr.feel good elixir..and i have had a real good day because of it..please see my earlier post if you don't know about my kombucha obsessions.

pixie perfection

storms..the latest going on, Ida, which is one of my favorite names of all time, it got me thinking who comes up with these names? Ida is such an uncommon name, i secretly hate it being blasted over the airwaves...( i was saving it for a potential name for my child one day!)
so i did a little research..
*there are six lists of names that get repeated every year
*if a storm is damaging then that name is retired ..katrina(2005), andrew(1992)
and Fifi (1974)
* the lists have been generated by the National Hurricane Center since 1953
* lists alternate between male and female
